THIN art therapy. Art therapy helps girl with eating disorders
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=29&v=cAw9n7_9eW8&feature=emb_logo
This is a clip from the HBO documentary about eating disorders, THIN. THIN explores the Renfrew Center, a residential facility that treats women with eating disorders. The clip is from an art therapy session with a girl named Alisa. It’s an interesting glimpse into an art therapy session with a professional art therapist and showcases one of numerous art therapy techniques used.

Discussion points

1. Why does the Art Therapist ask Alisa to draw the image of herself on the board?

2. Why does the Art Therapist bring in the theme of genders?
