Klaipeda, Lithuania, November 29, 2023 - A pivotal conference in Klaipeda brought together 45 dedicated participants, consisting of nurses, physiotherapists, and social workers. Some attendees also served as teachers at health science faculties across various universities, shaping the education of future healthcare professionals in body image and dietetics-related subjects.

The conference, designed as a multiplier event, tackled essential aspects of eating disorders with a comprehensive agenda. Topics included a cultural and historical perspective on eating disorders, the diagnosis and prevention of these conditions, physical activity in eating disorders, and strategies for developing effective communication with affected patients.

The educators, with their dual roles as conference participants and university teachers, provided valuable insights, enriching the multidisciplinary approach to understanding and addressing eating disorders.

As the event concluded, participants expressed their deep appreciation for the project's outcomes. They highlighted the significance of having educational materials available in their national language, facilitating training and self-learning. This collaborative effort not only enriched the knowledge base of healthcare professionals but also marked a significant step forward in enhancing the quality of care for individuals dealing with eating disorders in Lithuania.
