Module 5 - Treatments Diabetologist

Information

Objectives
The module will comprise therapy from the diabetologist’s perspective with reference to type 2 diabetes (T2D). The module will also cover the psychological features of working with a diabetic as well as diabetic foot care.

Estimated time
Estimated module time for the classroom work is 2 hours. Another 11 hours are estimated for seminar, individual study, preparation of assignments, and self-evaluation.

Acquired competences
At the end of the course, the students will be able to understand the needs of patients suffering with type 2 diabetes (including psychological ones), will be able to develop the nutrition plan, provide the consultation, recommend physical activity. Also, students will be able to apply the knowledge and skills of diabetic foot care.
