Module 4 - Treatments Psychotherapist

Information

The objective of this module is to give the users key ideas about the psychotherapy options for eating disorders, their background, the strategies used and fact that must be considered when psychotherapy is prescribed as a part of treatment plan or sought individually with a psychotherapist.

Estimated time
The estimated module time for the classroom work is 2 teaching hours. Additional 8 hours are estimated for seminar, individual study, preparation of assignments, and self-evaluation.

Acquired competences
At the end of the module, the students will be able to understand the role and principles of psychotherapy used to treat eating disorders, will be able to assess the benefits of and drawbacks of each approach and will be able to guide a person with ED’s to seek professional assistance.
